Ed Byrne signed to Cardiff Rugby ahead of the 2024/25 season. Before coming to the Welsh capital Ed Byrne had solidified himself as a consistent performer for Leinster, joining their 100 cap club in 2021.
The tight-head prop came through the ranks at the RDS Arena and earned himself a professional contract in 2015 following the completion of his time at the Leinster academy. Byrne had made his senior debut for Leinster almost a year prior in February 2014.
Byrne was recognised for his consistent performances for Leinster with six caps for Ireland, his most recent international appearance coming in 2021.
