Tinus De Beer arrived at the Cardiff Arms Park ahead of the 2023/24 season. Tinus had extensive experience from South African leagues and very quickly showed the coaching staff his ability to orchestrate Matt Sherrat’s extensive offensive system.

The South-African played every single minute of every single game in the 23/24 season bar two games where he was forced off with niggles.

Cardiff’s Fly-half ranked as one of the three best kicking tens in the URC in his first season and won the club’s Players’ Player and Fans’ Player of the Year award.
