Gabriel Hamer-Webb initially joined Cardiff on a short-term contract during the 2023-24 season and enjoyed two stints before signing a long term deal.
Hamer-Webb was a pupil at Beechen Cliff School and had trials at Southampton, Bristol City and Yeovil Town football clubs before taking up a place on the school’s Academic and Sporting Excellence (AASE) partnership with Bath Rugby.
He signed a senior contract with the Blue, Black and Whites in 2019 and enjoyed a breakthrough season while also impressing for England Under-20s.
The powerful wing went on to play 32 first team appearances for the West Country an untimely injury derailed his progress. He was released at the end of the 2022-23 season and spent time playing in New Zealand before joining Cardiff and then Northampton Saints on short-term cover.
Hamer-Webb committed to Cardiff ahead of the 2024-25 campaign and qualifies for Wales through his mother, who is from the Welsh capital.
