Ben Thomas is a home-grown utility back, who graduated from the Cardiff academy in 2019.
The inside centre, who can also feature in the number 10 jersey, represented St Peters RFC, Corpus Christi and Cardiff Schools, before becoming captain of Cardiff and Vale College.
The former Wales under-20 international made his Guinness PRO14 debut as a replacement in the dramatic victory over Benetton in 2019, and made his first start in the Challenge Cup win over Pau a week later and was named man-of-the-match following a try-scoring display.
Thomas has also impressed in the Cardiff RFC jersey, picking up the Best Newcomer award in 2018/19.
The playmaker, who has featured in the 10, 12 and 15 jersey at Cardiff, won his first international cap against Canada in the summer of 2021 and was also included for the following autumn campaign.
