The Cardiff Blues hosted a spectacular Christmas event at the Admiral Open Air Ice Rink in Cardiff's Winter Wonderland
Hundreds of junior fans made the trip to see their favourite Blues players and have a go on the ice.
It was a dry cold December evening in central Cardiff. Under the impressive back drop of City Hall and Cardiff’s civic centre the Blues squad came down to meet their fans, sign autographs, pose for photos and cheer on their junior fans whilst they showed off their ice skating prowess.
With the event proving successful in the past, the decision to run it again this year was an easy one, with the significant change of the occasion being held in the evening making the experience all the more festive.
There were over two hundred junior fans in attendance both on and off the ice with Bruiser the Cardiff Blues mascot proving a huge hit with adults and children alike.
Proving that Christmas brings the inner kid out in everyone, Blues players Lewis Jones and Gareth Davies even found the time to join in with their fans and have a go on a few of the rides.
With two festive home derby fixtures on the calendar the Blues Winter Wonderland experience proved an enjoyable night for all, kicking off what will be an exciting Christmas period for the Cardiff Blues and their supporters.
