Cardiff Blues have teamed up with the Lady Boys of Bangkok to offer a pair of tickets to see the show to one lucky Cardiff Blues supporter
The Lady Boys of Bangkok are coming back to Cardiff with their stellar new show ‘Carnival Queens’ which packs more glitz, more glamour and more giggles into 105-minutes than probably any other cabaret show in the UK.
Stars of the show visited Cardiff Arms Park to try out their rugby skills with Blues Number 8 Xavier Rush. They also modelled the Cardiff Blues pink shirts which is still available for only £35 from the club shop and online at www.cardiffblues.com/shop
Returning to Cardiff for their second year with ‘Carnival Queens’ ? the Lady Boys have firmly established themselves as Welsh cabaret royalty and due to phenomenal public demand will perform fifteen shows over eight nights.
Artistic Director Philip Gandey told us the Lady Boys loved performing in Cardiff and it seems that the Welsh capital loves the Thai cabaret performers in return as the city readies itself to welcome back sixteen of Bangkok’s most entrancing beauties for an eight night stint from Friday, June 1st.
This year the Lady Boys are promising their most colourful show yet as they bring the atmosphere of a carnival to Cardiff, again performing sold-out shows in the Sabai Pavilion ? to be erected on Roald Dahl Plass.
Prepare to be bewitched by a dazzling display of glamour as the talented troupe of carnival queens (and kings!) sport 300 elaborate handmade costumes during the show. Accompanied by beating drums and a samba swing the Lady Boys are poised to march back into our hearts with a riot of noise as they perform a string of classic songs including hits from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Shirley Bassey, and appropriately a medley of top songs by Queen.
Mr Gandey said: “‘Carnival Queens’ is infused with the comedy, surprises and satire that only the Lady Boys can deliver and it resounds to the timeless Latin beats of fiesta and pulsates to the chart topping sounds of today. The result is the unique comedy cabaret experience ‘Carnival Queens’ which marks a new high for the spectacle that is The Lady Boys of Bangkok.”
As well as being a feast for the eyes there’s fresh Thai food on offer at the Lady Boys’ shows from their resident Master Chef Miss Khanittha Pornngarm and two fully stocked bars.
Come enjoy the party like no other party…
