Head Coach Danny Wilson has called on his Cardiff Blues to keep building momentum after double derby day success in the Guinness PRO12.
Tense victories over Newport Gwent Dragons and Scarlets over the festive and New Year period gave Wilson plenty to be happy about.
However, he insists there is still much to be achieved in 2016 – and believes a proud home record must be the cornerstone of any future success.
“We still have a long way to go and we’re working hard towards improving our consistency in performances,” he said.
“As we have seen, there are inconsistencies in us, but we have won four out of our five last games with the one loss in the 83rd minute with a conversion to a try for Montpellier.
“We’re slowly building something and it’s important we keep that going. The boys will have a short break now because we don’t have a game next week. We will then get back into training and prepare to face Harlequins.
He added: “We’ve got to take each game as it comes, but we’ve now only lost one league game at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park and this has to become a venue that is tough for people to come and win.
“We have to play a style of rugby that makes it difficult for sides to come and win; I felt we did that against Scarlets.”
