Head Coach Danny Wilson has spoken about the impact of his returning Welsh internationals as they prepare to start the season at Cardiff Blues.
After the excitement of the Rugby World Cup campaign, the likes of Sam Warburton, Gethin Jenkins and Alex Cuthbert will all be back in training ahead of the huge home Guinness PRO12 clash with reigning champions Glasgow Warriors.
Wilson expects the trio to bring fresh impetus to the squad at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park after the long stint away from as Cardiff Blues hunt a return to winning ways.
And he believes all three will be keen to get started and back to playing rugby for the region.
“I’m looking forward to getting those players back for what they bring on the field and also the leadership,” said Wilson.
“Sam (Warburton) is a player you don’t need to do anything to get his focus back on. I have already had conversations with him and he has made it clear that he is excited about getting back here to Cardiff Blues.
“For those Welsh boys, they are coming into a new environment now. We’re trying to slowly build something that is going to feel new to them.
“Sam is the ultimate professional and whatever rugby shirt he is putting on and team he has gone out to play for, from my experience with him, he is wholeheartedly committed and he will be the same here.
“I’m looking forward to getting him and the others back in the door. I need to familiarise myself with those guys and I’m looking forward to what they will bring on the field for us.”
