Cardiff Rugby return to the Arms Park at the end of the month, kicking off a busy second block in the season with a Welsh derby against the Dragons.
The Blue & Blacks are currently eighth in the BKT United Rugby Championship, but level on points with sixth place Scarlets, following three wins in the first six fixtures of the season.
In fact, just four points separate the teams from third to ninth in the table, pointing to the competitiveness of the URC.
During the next block, Matt Sherratt’s men will be in both URC and European action with the Challenge Cup also getting underway.
There are eight fixtures in total, five of which are at the Arms Park. Here’s a breakdown of those home encounters
Cardiff vs Dragons - Saturday, November 30 (17:15)
The Blue & Blacks host the Dragons in an East Wales derby, while the fixture is also a double-header with Cardiff RFC taking on Pontypool.
Cardiff vs Cheetahs - Saturday, December 14 (20:00)
Following an opening Challenge Cup fixture against Lyon, the Blue & Blacks return to the capital to take on South African outfit Cheetahs. Following the success of last year’s Regional Clubs’ Day we are splitting the event into a Junior Clubs Day and Minis Clubs Day, with Junior Clubs invited to this Challenge Cup encounter.
Cardiff vs Ospreys - Wednesday, January 1 (15:00)
The New Year’s Day Derby. Cardiff kick-off 2025 with a home encounter against the Swansea-based outfit.
Cardiff vs Connacht - Friday, January 17 (20:00)
Cardiff round off the European Challenge Cup group stages with a home encounter against URC rivals Connacht. Following the success of our recent student activation at Ulster, we will again be hosting a special event for those studying in the city!
Cardiff vs Hollywoodbets Sharks - Saturday, January 25 (17:15)
The Blue & Black finish the block against star-studded South African outfit the Sharks. The second Clubs’ Day of the season with Minis invited to join us in the capital.
