More than 1,000 Blue & Blacks flooded through the Gwyn Nicholls Gates to attend Summerfest and get a first look at the new 2024-25 kit on Saturday.
The wet and windy weather did not put supporters off, who braved the early morning conditions to join the first team squad at the annual family fun day.
Thankfully, the weather improved through the day and hundreds of young supporters joined their heroes on the pitch to take part in a series of masterclasses.
The likes of Callum Sheedy and Aled Davies took part in pass and catch sessions, while Josh Adams and Theo Cabango took part in speed and agility, and the likes of Thomas Young and James Botham led tackle and jackal.
Adams and Ben Thomas also scaled new heights as they unveiled the new kits at the top of the Principality Stadium’s ‘Scale’ Roof Walk.
There was plenty on offer for all the family with free face painting and caricatures in the new kit, and numerous exhibitors including Organised Kaos, South Wales Police, the Royal Navy, South Wales Fire Service and the Royal Welsh Regimental Goat!
Cardiff Rugby, head of marketing and communications, Mike Brown said: “Summerfest is always a highlight in the calendar as we build towards the season.
“The Community Foundation and players do a fantastic job engaging with so many enthusiastic young supporters. There is nothing like meeting your heroes and hopefully we can inspire these children to both continue playing rugby and become lifelong Cardiff fans.
“It was a brilliant day and we are very grateful to everyone who supported us to make it such a success.”
