Six Cardiff stars involved as Wales take on Springboks in Bloemfontein

International | 7th July 2022

Six Cardiff Rugby stars will be involved in Wales’ second Test against South Africa on Saturday, as Wayne Pivac opts to make just a single change to his starting XV.

The head coach keeps faith with the side that took the world champions to the wire in Pretoria last week, as the visitors look to bounce back following the last gasp defeat courtesy of Damien Willemse’s late penalty.

The only change sees former Cardiff wing Alex Cuthbert returning to the line-up, with Josh Adams moved to the bench.

British & Irish Lions star Adams, who recently recovered from a knee injury, is named amongst the replacements for the first time in his international career.

Dillon Lewis and Taulupe Faletau are retained in the pack after impressing at Loftus Versfeld, with Liam Williams named at full back.

Tomos Williams and Josh Navidi are once again named on the bench alongside Saracens prop Sam Wainwright, who is set to win his first Test cap.
