Cardiff Blues are delighted to confirm the appointment of Rhys Blumberg as General Manager at Cardiff Arms Park.
Rhys will be responsible for all aspects of the administration side of the business, with the exclusion of finance, and will report directly to chief executive Richard Holland.
Having previously spent four years as Commercial Manager and then Head of Sales and Marketing at Cardiff Blues and most recently enjoyed a successful two years as Sales and Marketing director for Genero Productions.
Rhys has abundance of experience in the industry and is a perfect fit for the newly created position.
Richard Holland, Cardiff Blues chief executive, said: “We are naturally delighted to welcome Rhys back to Cardiff Arms Park.
“He was highly regarded in his previous job here and has added further relevant experience during his two years away.
“Rhys has a proven track record in the commercial sector and will be a major asset across the company once again”
Prior to joining Cardiff Blues in 2012, Rhys enjoyed great success in commercial roles within Global Radio and Chepstow and Hereford racecourses, however his great passion remains to be rugby.
Speaking of his return to Cardiff Arms Park, he said: “I’m thrilled to be back at Cardiff Blues and I’m excited at the prospect of working across the business operation.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Genero but I could not turn down the opportunity to work within rugby at my home region once again.”
