Rhys Williams, who was stretchered off the field in yesterday's match against the Ospreys, has been given the all-clear to resume training when the Blues' squad reconvenes on Tuesday.
Director of Coaching David Young said, "Rhys was stretchered off as a precaution. Thankfully, the x-ray has confirmed no serious injury. In effect it was a minor whiplash as a knee accidently jarred his head back. Now he's fine and will be with us at training on Tuesday morning."
Mark Lewis was feared to have suffered a broken finger; further examination has confirmed ligament damage. Ben Evans has also suffered a hand injury.
Meanwhile Cardiff fly-half Gareth McCarthy has undergone a scan on his injured knee.He said, "It's not as bad as we first feared. The prognosis is that I should be playing again within three to four weeks."
