Rhiwbina Junior Rugby will be awarded a cheque for £435 having won the Cardiff Blues Cash-back prize for the second consecutive year.
By purchasing tickets to watch the Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park, through the cash back scheme, the club claimed back £435. The money will be used to develop junior rugby within the club. Dozens of clubs and schools around the region have taken advantage of the scheme raising hundreds of pounds for their organizations.
Speaking of the scheme Cath Brobin of Rhiwbina RFC said,
The Junior section at Rhiwbina RFC are thrilled to hear that we have topped the Cashback scheme for the second year running. It just goes to show the enthusiasm out there for the National game. The kids love to come and support the Blues and that goes for the parents too. Its been a real team effort again this year, as is fundraising for the club, so I'm sure we'll be putting the cash to good use. The kids always need kit and equipment.
