A Vale of Glamorgan-based driver trainer company has joined forces with the Cardiff Blues, in a partnership which will bring joint rewards for both organisations.
Professional Driver Services (PDS) has agreed to sponsor the current Amlin Challenge Cup champions for the 2010/11 season and will create and develop a number of road risk management policies and procedures for implementation across the Club’s employees. As part of the company’s support of the Blues, PDS will sponsor a series of home matches throughout the season, receive tickets to games, advertisements in match programmes, and will have a company presence around the pitch.
On sponsoring the Cardiff Blues, managing director of PDS Kath Bevan said: “We are extremely pleased and excited to be sponsoring the Cardiff Blues. Regional rugby is at the heart of Wales and having watched the team go from strength to strength we are delighted to be supporting them this season.”
Tina Tew, Cardiff Blues Sales & Marketing Director said: “This partnership brings benefits for both parties. PDS, as season sponsors, will get increased brand awareness and the association of being involved with a top flight rugby team, while the Cardiff Blues will get advice on our work-related road safety.
“The welfare of our staff is paramount and we want to ensure that when our employees are out on the road on company business that the necessary precautions and measures are in place to ensure their safety.”
Added Kath: “We are looking forward to building a mutually beneficial relationship with the Cardiff Blues as we continue to sponsor the team and work with them to provide the necessary driver training support needed for their employees.”
Established in 2002, PDS is one of only 18 Driving Standards Agency (DSA) approved National Fleet Diploma Training Organisations in the United Kingdom. The company employs a team of expertly trained and highly experienced staff and is one of only 6% of driver training organisations in the UK who has instructors qualified to the DSA’s grade 6 level - the highest possible level of achievement.
