Nick Robinson is the latest member of the Blues squad to commit his future to the Arms Park.
The international fly-half today signed a new contract with the regional side and is already looking forward to the seasons ahead.
He said, Like many other members of the current squad I am convinced that the Blues set-up is moving in the right direction. Because of my illness this season I have had plenty of time to sit down and think about my future and how best my career will develop. The answer is, quite simply, that I want to stay here and be part of the resurgence in the team. I am more than happy to commit myself to that.
Obviously Ive had a tough time recently but I think the worst is over and the training is going well. Unless there are any further setbacks I will soon be back in action. With my contract signed I can now relax on that front and concentrate on getting back to full match fitness.
Nick Robinson is the latest high profile star to agree a new contract with the Blues. Last month his brother Jamie and Tom Shanklin signed significant extensions to their current contracts and a spokesman at the Arms Park today confirmed that other completions are imminent.
Before a mystery virus sidelined him last September Nick Robinson had scored 584 points in 76 games for Cardiff and the Blues, including 217 in 27 appearances last season. He had also won a test place for Wales against Argentina and South Africa last summer. Born and bred in Cardiff, where he attended Ysgol Gyfun Glantaf, he played for Cardiff schools and youth teams before graduating through the under-21 academy at Cardiff Arms Park.
