Lewis-Hughes called into Wales squad

Shane Lewis-Hughes has been called into Wales' senior squad ahead of the upcoming autumn fixtures.

The academy product has been rewarded for his fine start to the season, joining team-mates Josh Adams, Josh Navidi, Seb Davies, Cory Hill, Rhys Carré and Dillon Lewis in Wayne Pivac's squad.

The back row star is drafted in as regional team-mate Navidi continues to go through return-to-play concussion protocols and after Ross Moriarty picked up an injury earlier this week, with the duo both ruled out of Saturday's clash against France.

While Lewis-Hughes remains uncapped, he was part of Pivac's inaugural squad ahead of the November fixture against Barbarians.

He has been instrumental in Cardiff Blues' opening fixtures this season, with stand-out performances against Zebre and Connacht as he leads the way in the Guinness PRO14 for most tackles (43) and turnovers won (four).
