As well as the half marathon on Sunday (October 5), the 2014 Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon also sees the return of the action-packed Lloyds Bank Festival of Running to Cardiff's Civic Centre on Saturday (October 4, starting 11am) where you can see our mascot Bruiser the Bear in action!
Perfect for families, friends, children and adults of all ages and abilities, the Lloyds Bank Festival of Running is a brilliant opportunity to get active, keep fit, and embrace the fun and excitement of the overarching Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon weekend.
Whether you take part in the family fun run, sample the various come and try sports activities, watch the one-mile road race competition, or simply watch the hilarious antics during the brilliant mascot race featuring our very own Bruiser, there’s plenty of entertainment on offer throughout the day. Face painting, entertainers, live music and local food and drink will also keep those less inclined to pull on their running shoes entertained.
With smiling faces, fancy dress, and (fingers crossed) a bright blue sky, the Festival of Running will once again prove to be a thrilling start to the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon weekend.
You and your family can sign up for the Family Fun Run on the day, entry is £7.50 per person or £25 for a family of 4.
