Cardiff Blues recently spread some festive cheer around the region with a free delivery of Domino’s Pizza to emergency services in the build-up to Christmas.
With the help of Domino’s and Principle Partner Land Rover, Cardiff Blues players delivered 80 pizzas as a gesture of goodwill to those who keep us safe at this busy time of year.
Rhys Gill and Lewis Jones visited Cardiff Bay Police Station and Cardiff Central Fire Station, while Tom James, Matthew Morgan and Bruiser the Bear headed north.
They started at Pontypridd Police Station before travelling up the A470 to visit staff at Prince Charles Hospital’s Accident and Emergency department in Merthyr and then back to Llantrisant Fire Station.
Cardiff Blues star Tom James said: “It was great to be able to get out in the region and give something back to those putting themselves at risk for our safety at what must be a very busy and stressful time of year.
“We are all aware of how stretched these vital services can be, especially when working over Christmas, so this was just a small gesture of our thanks to them.
“It was good to meet so many of the guys, particularly those at Prince Charles, and we hope they enjoyed a quiet Christmas.”
Domino’s Cardiff became an official supplier to Cardiff Blues ahead of the 2016-17 season, sponsoring the match-day app and player of the game award.
As part of their sponsorship they are also offering Cardiff Blues supporters an exclusive discount code for use in its Cardiff stores. Simply use #CBLUES30 for 30 per cent off all orders over £25.
