Corey Domachowski has agreed a new long-term deal to remain with Cardiff Rugby.
The loose-head prop was due to come out of contract in the summer, having previously signed for one-year as the financial challenges in Welsh rugby impacted the Arms Park.
But with a new era beginning under new owners Helford Capital, Domachowski has turned down approaches from elsewhere to commit to Blue and Black once more with a longer deal.
He said: “I’m very happy to sign a new contract at Cardiff. This club means a huge amount to me and I am really encouraged by everything going on here.
“Obviously last year was not ideal, but it has always been my intention to stay long-term and it’s great to now have a deal in place.
“We have a great group of players here with a lot of youngsters coming through and exciting plans for the future.
“As one of the more senior players, I am really looking forward to playing my part and doing everything for this group and the supporters.”
Twenty-seven-year-old Domachowski came through the junior ranks at Gilfach Goch and progressed into the Cardiff age-grade set-up.
He made his first team debut in 2016 and featured throughout the clubs successful European Challenge Cup campaign two years later.
Last year proved a seminal season for the explosive ball-carrier, who was rewarded with a call-up to the Wales Rugby World Cup squad.
Domchowski, who is part of the Six Nations squad, now has six International caps and 111 first team appearances in Blue and Black.
Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt said: “I’m really pleased to keep Corey at the Arms Park. He is a player, who has matured in recent seasons and is now really fulfilling his potential and performing to a consistently high-level. He is a dominant scrummager, is explosive on both sides of the ball and is diligent as a professional.
“Corey is already an important figure within our group and he will continue to play a key role in this new and exciting era.”
