Cardiff Rugby Museum is actively looking at building a strong team of volunteers to help drive our future development.

We currently have over 1,800 items of memorabilia associated with our great club and are aiming to mount regular displays in the Trophy Room and throughout the clubhouse. We’re also planning to increasingly promote our heritage throughout the whole of the Arms Park. With our 150th season only 18 months away, it’s a particularly exciting time to get involved in celebrating the history of Cardiff rugby.

If you enjoy meeting people and bringing together our treasures and stories and share our passion and enthusiasm for sporting heritage, you could become a member of our volunteer team. We need people who are willing to help us:

- continue to catalogue the collection;

– help us mount exhibitions and safely store items that are not on display;

– assist with conservation;

– run open sessions for season members and the public;

– help maintain and develop our on-line museum;

– help produce our regular section in Cardiff Rugby programmes;

– develop educational materials;

– collaborate in research projects;

– promote the museum through social media channels.

Most of the above involves dedicating a few hours of your time on a regular basis and in line with specific museum projects. Training (such as in the handling of objects) will be provided as appropriate.

We welcome enquiries from people of all ages and have a track record of working successfully with students and people who have retired who can add to the skills of our existing team.

Do get in touch at contact@cardiffrugbymuseum.org  if you think you have something to offer and would like to chat through possibilities – we’d love to hear from you!
