Cardiff Rugby’s new ‘Bocs Bwyd’ will be open and fully operational for next weekend’s Derby double-header at the Arms Park.
The new food unit has be installed at Cardiff Arms Park to enhance the match-day experience, offering a more comprehensive, versatile and scalable range of street food, with every penny going back to the club.
Installed with the support of Castell Howell and Morgans Classics & Customs, the unit was partially opened for the recent BKT United Rugby Championship matches against Scarlets and Ulster but will now be fully operational.
Cardiff Rugby Chief Operations Officer, Jamie Muir said: “We are pleased to fully open this new unit and are very grateful to Castell Howell and Morgans for their support with the project.
“A constant point raised in feedback and surveys, is the desire of supporters to have a wider range of street food available but this is often difficult due to independent vendors requiring a certain level of covers.
“By bringing this in house, we can scale up with anticipated attendances, offer a wider range of options, including vegetarian and vegan, and all money made goes back into the club.”
All items at Bocs Bwyd are available as meat-free options, ensuring all preferences are catered for, with dishes created using the very best locally sourced produce.
Cardiff Rugby Head Chef, Jamie Lewis, said: “We are excited to launch Bocs Bwyd, adding to our vast array of catering options at the Arms Park, ranging from high-end hospitality vegetarian and vegan meals to the latest street food dishes.
“Working with Castell Howell, we are able to source fantastic local produce, enabling us to change the menu according to the spectators visiting, time of year, competition themes and street food trends,
“As the unit and our offering evolves, we hope to develop and establish dishes unique to Cardiff Rugby and our match-day experience. We will also endeavour to always have child friendly options and family friendly pricing available.
