The draw for the semi-finals of the EDF Energy Cup was carried out live by Tournament Director Terry Burwell on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Speaking after the draw Cardiff Blues Director of Coaching said,
"Theres no real surprise that weve drawn against the Ospreys and I think most people would have put money on us getting them. However one good thing is that we will definitely get a Welsh representative in the final which will be a big boost to Welsh rugby.
"Its a mouth watering fixture but theres a lot of rugby to be played between now and March, however Im sure both regions will be looking forward immensely to the competition and hopefully it will be a good spectacle for both sets of fans.
"I think that the fact that there are two Welsh regions playing each other will always add a more little spice to the match, the players know each other really well and in the context of it being a semi final of the EDF Energy Cup it looks like being a big occasion for the fans and the players alike.
"Im sure both regions will also hope that they will be going in to the match with full squads and without any injuries as it will be a highly competitive game with a high standard of rugby.
"The English sides that weve come up against so far had realistic chances of going through and fielded strong teams and now its at the business end of competition they will be even more focused on that game as its also a route for them to get in to Europe next year."
