Cardiff Rugby are delighted to announce the appointment of Jack Butler as the club’s new Commercial Director. 

Jack joins to lead the Blue & Blacks’ commercial team with a wealth of experience and a proven track record in sports partnerships, sales and management. 

Having recently served as Head of Partnerships and Sales at Gloucester Rugby, he was instrumental in driving commercial growth and success at Kingsholm. 

His career highlights include leading the partnerships team at Seat Unique, England Netball, and spending six years at WRU within the commercial department.

A Newcastle University graduate with a background in Business Management, Jack’s impressive career also includes entrepreneurial ventures and semi-professional rugby with Pontypool RFC, Cross Keys and Glamorgan Wanderers. 

Jack said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Cardiff Rugby, a club steeped in history, especially at such an exciting time as we approach the 150th anniversary. After spending a few years outside of Wales, it’s fantastic to return home and have the opportunity to make an impact with a club that means so much to the rugby community.

“I’m looking forward to working with the talented team here to drive the club forward as we enter an exciting new chapter. A big thank you to Richard Holland and Jamie Muir for the opportunity.”
