bmibaby, the award winning airline with tiny fares, is to become the official airline of the Cardiff Festival 2004.

The international festival, which starts on 1 July and runs for a month, is a celebration of visual arts, entertainment and colour and attracts almost half a million visitors from across the globe.

The free festival combines 15 events and is made up of more than one hundred performers. bmibaby will have a profile at all of the events, will receive branding throughout the City for the duration of the festival, and will be giving away event tickets in partnership with the festival.

Louise Prynne, Cardiff Council’s Sponsorship & Partnership Manager, says:
“bmibaby has become a valuable friend and partner to our busy annual events programme, and so it is fitting that as we broaden the international appeal of the famous Cardiff Festival, bmibaby should come on board as the Festival’s Official Airline. Our commitment to providing all sectors of the community with free entertainment is only sustainable with the support of companies such as bmibaby, and we welcome their continued involvement.”

David Hodge, marketing director, bmibaby, added:
“bmibaby is proud to support Cardiff’s 2004 Festival, the event attracts a huge amount of tourism into the region so it fits perfectly with what we do as an airline.”

bmibaby offers 11 routes from Cardiff International Airport to Alicante, Belfast (International), Cork, Edinburgh, Glasgow (Prestwick), Jersey, Malaga, Palma, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Prague and Toulouse. Fares start from just £12.95 one way, including taxes and charges when booked online at bmibaby.com.
