Cardiff Blues Under-18s continued their dominant start to the new WRU Regional Age Grade competition with an emphatic five-try 33-0 victory over Ospreys Under-18s at St Helens on Wednesday night.

Blues opened the competition by defeating Newport Gwent Dragons last week, but they stepped it up another gear in Swansea to secure another impressive win.

Full back Curtis Povey made it two tries in two games with a ninth minute opener before prop Rhys Carre crashed over just after the half hour mark, converted by Callum Hall, to put Blues 12-0 ahead.

The lead was stretched further before the half-time break as centre Owen Lane went over before fly half Hall crossed the whitewash for a commanding 26-0 lead at the interval.

Flanker Morgan Sieniawski grabbed the fifth try of the night on the hour mark with Hall finishing the game with a 13-point haul.

Blues Under-18s are next in action on Sunday when they travel to face RGC.
