Skills Coach Lee Jarvis admits Cardiff Blues are looking forward to the semi-final shootout with Leicester Tigers this Saturday - as both teams look to book a place in the final four of the LV=Cup.
Both Blues and Tigers are top of their respective pools after three rounds of competition and meet at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park this Saturday (kick-off 2.30pm) as they aim to secure a semi-final spot.
It’s Wales versus England for the second successive day in the Welsh capital and coach Jarvis admits it is all set up to be a memorable afternoon.
“It’s all to play for and should be a fantastic occasion,” he said. “The players have trained hard once again this week in preparation and we’re proud, as a coaching team, of that work and the way the squad has developed throughout the LV=Cup campaign.
“We’ve often selected from a young group, with a couple of senior players involved, and primarily it’s been senior Academy players that have been given the chance to impress.
“They’ve performed superbly in the first three games and played with enthusiasm and real pride in the jersey.
“The support we’ve received in the opening three pool games has been outstanding and nothing would please us more than to book a place in the last four for our fantastic fans,” he added.
“I know our young players will relish playing in front of a big crowd so it would be fantastic to see a big crowd in.”
