Blues players make themselves at home

9th October 2013

Cardiff Blues players Sam Warburton, Leigh Halfpenny and Scott Andrews were given a taste of life at Redrow Homes' exclusive million-pound development, Mary Twill Grove in Langland.

The Wales and British and Irish Lions captain and his team mates were invited to the development, to film an exclusive video as part of Redrow’s sponsorship of the Cardiff Blues kit this season.

The three international rugby stars took a tour of the 5-bedroom ‘Highgrove’ show home, taking in the stunning views over Langland Bay from the master bedroom balcony and discussing what they look for in their ideal home.

The ‘Highgrove’ is the largest style of home at the development, where properties have an average price of £1.1million. Mary Twill Grove features just 11 properties, providing the seclusion and privacy that even international sports stars desire. The homes perfectly balance classic and contemporary design, with the premium quality finish Redrow are known for.

The new Cardiff Blues kit, including navy blue shorts sponsored by Redrow Homes, was seen for the first time in a flash mob outside John Lewis at the Hayes, Cardiff earlier this summer.  Redrow are in their second successful year of sponsorship with the Cardiff Blues.

Debby Pavitt, Sales Director at Redrow Homes South Wales said, “Sam Warburton, Leigh Halfpenny and Scott Andrews were all extremely friendly and thoroughly enjoyed looking round Mary Twill Grove. Mary Twill Grove is a truly special development and we are very proud of the homes we have built here. It was great to hear their fantastic comments on the show home’s design and finishing touches, and to know we have created properties that these international sports starts would like to call home.

We are delighted to continue our relationship with the Cardiff Blues and look forward to supporting them during the new season.”

Richard Holland, Chief Executive at Cardiff Blues, said, “We are very pleased that Redrow have continued their association with the club for a second season. I know all the players greatly enjoyed the trip to Mary Twill Grove and the opportunity to see first-hand the outstanding workmanship of one of our main sponsors. We are looking forward to continuing to develop our relationship with Redrow over the course of this season and beyond.”
