Arms Park enjoys bumper weekend as sun shines on Six Nations

Arms Park Fanzone

Cardiff Rugby enjoyed a bumper weekend as Wales rose to the occasion in the Guinness Six Nations.

It has been a testing few months for the national team but buoyed by some winter sun and the appointment of Matt Sherratt as head coach, there was cause for optimism in the capital.

And while a much-improved Welsh performance was not enough to upset unbeaten Ireland, supporters of both sides certainly enjoyed themselves at the Arms Park.

Four-hundred-and-fifty corporate guests packed into our hospitality marquee, in partnership with Locker Room events. Tom Shanklin hosted and was joined by Jon ‘Fox’ Davies, Tommy Bowe, Nigel Owens and Geordan Murphy.

Thousands also descended on the Official Guinness Fanzone before, during and after the big game, to enjoy the very best match-day atmosphere.

Cardiff Rugby Chief Operating Officer Jamie Muir, said: “It was fantastic to see so many supporters, both Welsh and Irish, come together at the Arms Park to enjoy the Six Nations this weekend, whether on the Friday for our Community Foundation lunch or on Saturday for the game itself.

“Our Locker Room Event was sold out and our Guinness fanzone hit capacity, the atmosphere was electric. It goes to show our Locker Room Events with Tom Shanklin are unrivalled as the place to be on international days.

“From our hospitality offerings to the Fanzone, we have something to cater for everybody. Our Locker Room Event is once again sold out for England, but we encourage as many supporters as possible to join us in the Official Guinness Fanzone for the game on the 15th March. Before the Mens International, don’t miss the chance to support the Wales U20s as they take on England U20s at Cardiff Arms Park on the eve of the fixture.”
