Josh Adams insits Cardiff will continue to fight for the Blue and Black jersey as a Boxing Day derby with the Dragons looms.
While results may not have gone Cardiff’s way this season, the desire and determination displayed has been applauded.
The Blue and Blacks have taken at least a losing bonus-point from every BKT United Rugby Championship this season and are now targeting a double over the Dragons,
A capacity crowd is anticipated for the East Wales derby and it is an occasion the Wales and British & Irish Lions wing is relishing.
He said: "I enjoy the derbies. The fact that we’re basically more or less sold out here is brilliant. The crowd certainly makes it what it is.
“I remember playing a Boxing Day game during covid and it’s just not the same. We were at Rodney Parade, it was a stinking pitch, dark and it just took all the happiness of playing a Christmas derby away. So I’m so glad we can hopefully have a sell out.
“They've backed us pretty well this season as well. So I’M really thankful to them with how they've supported us so far and we're trying to repay them with fight, effort, giving our best on the pitch really to represent the club.
“We’re trying to play a brand of rugby that will bring people back to the arms Park and also showing what it means to us as a group to represent them, this club and to have that never say die attitude and to keep going no matter what.
“We're all well aware of the situation that we're in as a region, or regions I should say. and punching above our weight is an achievement for us at the current time.”
Fewer than 500 tickets remain for the hotly anticipated Arms Park derby, which kicks off at 3pm. Limited tickets remain available online only and can be purchased by clicking here.
