This Sunday's Cardiff Blues v Munster match is expected to be Xavier Rush's last game in Blues colours at Cardiff City Stadium, and Rush will be marking his final home appearance by giving away his shirt for charity.
The powerful Number 8 joined Cardiff Blues in 2005 and has gone on to play 100 games for the Blues, scoring 18 tries along the way and serving as Captain for two seasons.
The 'shirt off his back' scheme is a way for fans to support the SA Brains Captain's Climb for cancer charity Stepping Stones. Cardiff Blues chief executive Robert Norster and 14 other former Welsh captains will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September 2010 to raise money for lung cancer research charity Stepping Stones. You can support the climb directly by donating at www.justgiving.com/brainssacaptainsclimb
Xavier Rush said, "The Blues photographer, Huw Evans, and everyone at Stepping Stones have done a fantastic job in organizing the Captain's Climb which helps raise money for a very worthy cause."
"Obviously the shirt I wear in my final game in Cardiff is something special to me but I'm more than happy to donate it and hopefully it will raise a lot of money."
"The fans and everyone at the Blues have been great with me since I arrived five years ago and I'm sure to miss the people and the place."
"I hope I can go out with a bang with a win against Munster and hope that my shirt finds a good home," added Rush.
For your chance to win this special shirt by texting MOM to 60999 on the day of the match, texts cost £2 plus standard network rate with profits going to the SA Brains Captain's Climb for cancer charity Stepping Stones.
