At their recent AGM, the members of Cardiff Blues Supporters' Club overwhelmingly supported a motion to raise funds for Owen Williams' Trust throughout season 2014/15.
Now 10% of all membership subscriptions will be donated to the fund and the first major fundraiser will be the sale of balloons which will be entered into a Balloon Race prior to the match between the Cardiff Blues and Grenoble on Saturday 18th October 2014.
Balloon tickets are now on sale from the CBSC website by clicking HERE at a cost of just £2.
Sarah Hopkins, CBSC’s Chairperson, said: "We are encouraging all supporters of the Blues, and supporters of other clubs and regions to buy a ticket for the Balloon Race.
"If supporters want to sell a sheet of tickets to their friends, family or colleagues – we’d be delighted – just drop us an email and we’ll send you a copy.
"We’d like to thank Thomas Simon Solicitors for their kind sponsorship of the event and also the supporters who have already signed up to support our fundraising efforts."
There will be a cash prize for the balloon that travels the furthest – so please give generously! Tickets can also be bought from committee members in the Jack Matthews Supporters’ Club Bar prior to home games.
