Wales skipper Sam Warburton will be signing copies of his new book Refuse to be denied: My Grand Slam Year in the Cardiff Arms Park shop on Tuesday 9th October at 7pm.
The Cardiff Blues’ open side flanker signed a two-book deal with Simon and Schister back in May 2011. His literary debut documents his rollercoaster ride over the past year. Encapsulating his every move from taking on the Welsh captaincy at the age of twenty-two to the elation of winning Wales’ third Grand Slam victory.
Warburton said “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity by S&S to tell my story in what has been an amazing year in my life. From being awarded the national captaincy, and the infamous tackle in the Rugby World Cup semi final, to lifting the Six Nations trophy; it has been an incredible journey full of highs and lows. I can’t wait to tell my story.”
