Cardiff Rugby Community Foundation are seeking five individuals to run the Wizz Air Cardiff Half Marathon on the charity’s behalf in October.
Thousands of runners will gather in the Welsh capital on Sunday, October 2, to take part in a race that has grown a reputation as one of the most exciting and popular road races in the United Kingdom.
Running spaces for the race are always in high demand and quickly sell out, but the Community Foundation have secured five spaces for the latest instalment. The popular race has a flat and fast course which takes in the city’s iconic sceneries and landmarks including Cardiff Bay, Cardiff Castle and, of course, Cardiff Arms Park.
There have been plenty of inspirational fundraising efforts on the Community Foundation’s behalf in recent months, including 10k runs, presence at local events across the region and of course the bike ride from Cardiff to Paris in June.
The Community Foundation uses the power of sport to inspire, engage and improve opportunities for all, proving there is a rugby jersey for all.
The dedicated team provide rugby opportunities for all abilities through numerous educational, health and wellbeing programmes, while also encompassing the #StayStrongForOws campaign, which continues to support former Cardiff and Wales centre Owen Williams, who suffered a catastrophic neck injury in 2014.
