Defender is on the look-out for some special youngsters to join them at Rugby World Cup 2023, taking place in France.
As a Worldwide Partner of Rugby World Cup 2023, Defender is giving a number of Defenders of Tomorrow the once-in a lifetime opportunity to walk out with the best players in the world as a mascot at the biggest rugby tournament on the planet.
Through the Cardiff Rugby Defender Cup network we are sure you will have encountered a number of children who would be deserving of this prize.
To be in with a chance of winning, we are asking grassroots rugby club coaches & facilitators, to submit their nominations to [email protected] outlining why their candidate deserves to be selected as a Defender of Tomorrow.
Nominated candidates must be between 7 and 13 years of age at the time of the Rugby World Cup 2023 (Friday 8th September – Saturday 28th October).
Final deadline to submit all requests: Friday 12th May 2023
To maximise engagement with this campaign please use the below copy and attached static asset to promote this opportunity via email.
Should we decide to proceed with an eligible candidate put forward, it will be the responsibility of that specific grassroots club to put the Defender Rugby Team in contact with the candidates parents or legal guardian to discuss next steps and logistics for the tournament itself.
