The draw for the semi-finals of the Redrow Homes Blues Cup was made yesterday (Tuesday) at the Cardiff Blues training base.
The draw was made by current players Ellis Jenkins and Lewis Jones assisted by WRU rugby coordinators Gavin Dacey, Jake Thomas and Christian Hitt.
Following the completion of the quarter final games, there has been much excitement around the draw and it has not disappointed by providing some mouth-watering games in the penultimate stage.
The semi-final games are set to be played between April 3 and 17 and the Redrow Homes Blues Cup final date has been confirmed as May 15 at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park.
U12s Blues Cup Draw
The Under-12s age group is providing some of the stiffest competition in the Redrow Homes Blues Cup with three of the four quarter-finals being settled by just five points.
In the semi-finals Llantwit Fardre, who won 12-10 against St Peters in the previous round, are rewarded with a home draw against high flyers Llanishen. In the other semi-final Pontypridd host Pontyclun following both sides completing away wins in the quarter finals.

U13s Blues Cup DrawThe Under-13s competition provides a wide spread of teams in the region with all three district associations represented (Heart of Wales, Cardiff and the Vale, and Taff Rhondda).
Abercynon progressed to the semi-final following a victory over fellow Heart of Wales club Dowlais in the quarter final. Abercynon will host Penarth who comfortably beat fellow Cardiff and the Vale club Rhiwbina in the previous round. Pontyclun are also rewarded with a home draw and will play Treorchy who have had impressive wins in the last two rounds beating Pontypridd and Llandaff on the way to the semis.

U14s Blues Cup DrawThe Under-14s competition is another age group that has some exciting match ups at the semi-final stage. Last year’s Under-13s champions Cowbridge have been given a tough home draw against Abercynon who triumphed 27-5 over Gwernyfed in the last round. The second semi-final sees Beddau host Pontypridd in a much anticipated local derby.
