The Redrow Homes Blues Cup enables youngsters from throughout the region to compete against each other, from the under 12s to the under 14s age groups
Proof of its ever-growing profile within the region is highlighted by the vast number of clubs from across the region wanting to take part in the competition year on year. Last year saw over 350 spectators at the Cardiff Arms Park for the spectacular finale, which was a great advert for the community game. The finals were a culmination of well over 2,000 players and 40 clubs going head to head since the start of the 2011/12 season. Encouragingly, each year new teams come through to the finals. Last year saw Abercynon RFC, make an appearance in the U12 final while Mountain Ash RFC took their place in the U13 final.
The quarter-final draw for this season's Redrow Homes Blues Cup has been made and throws up some mouthwatering matches, with the Under 12s to Under 14s all competing for a coveted semi-final spot.
