Cardiff Blues have a limited amount of family tickets available for this Sunday's Cardiff Blues v Montpellier match, 12.45pm kick off
The Blues return to Heineken Cup action this Sunday when they take on French powerhouses Montpellier in the Round 3 match.
Tickets for families, two adults and two children, are available in the Family Stand for just £30 offering outstanding value to watch some of Wales’ best players in Europe’s premier club competition.
Montpellier, are one of the ‘new kids on the block’ of French rugby. The club was formed in 1986 and originally played at the antiquated Stade Sabathé. They recently moved to the impressively renovated rugby venue in the city at Stade Yves-du-Manoir which caters for approximately 15,000 spectators.
Coached by Fabien Galthié, considered by many rugby aficionados as one of France’s greatest ever rugby union players, Montpellier’s finest hour was in June 2011 when they appeared in their first Top 14 final at the Stade de France in Paris in front of 77,000 spectators, where they narrowly lost to Stade Toulousain
Galthié appeared in four Rugby World Cup competitions, represented France on 64 occasions and was chosen as the IRB Player of the Year in 2002. His coaching record is a distinguished one. After serving an apprenticeship at Stade Français he has somehow managed, in a short space of time, to revolutionise the fortunes of Montpellier. This is quite a feat considering he doesn’t have the massive budget of other French clubs at his disposal.
