Martyn Williams will be captain of the Blues again in 2004-05 when their Heineken Cup campaign includes home and away pool matches with Gloucester, Ulster and French champions, Stade Francais.
The international flank forward will be in charge at the Arms Park for the third consecutive season, emulating the achievement of director of coaching David Young, who was Cardiff club captain from September 1999 to May 2002.
In the Heineken Cup pools also announced today, the Blues will begin their European campaign with an away fixture against old rivals Ulster followed by a home tie against Stade Francais. The back to back fixtures against Gloucester are set for December.

The exact dates and times of matches will be released in mid-August (two months before the tournament kicks off) after consultation between European Rugby Cup Ltd and their broadcast partners.
