Cardiff Blues players Marc Stcherbina and Ben Evans have been picked in a 23 man squad to play against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on 17th March.
Marc is joined by his countryman, the World Cup winning Wallaby Joe Roff, who is flying in to play for the Barbarians and another global star, Justin Marshall, capped 81-times for the All Blacks. There is also a host of other familiar names including former players Semo Sititi and Nathan Budgett as well as representatives from the Celtic League and Guinness Premiership.
Next weeks match will be the 87th in a series that began in 1909 when the match ended in a 9-all draw. Of the 86 previous matches Tigers have won 37 to the Baa-Baas 44 with five games drawn.
Marshall will be making his second appearance for the Barbarians and he said, Im delighted to be invited back to lead the Barbarians again. It was a fantastic honour for me when I led the Club against the All Blacks at Twickenham last season and its great to now be part of another of their traditional fixtures when they take on Leicester.
