Lock Jarrad Hoeata admits Cardiff Blues have got to go all out for victory when they face Munster Rugby in the Guinness PRO12 at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Friday night (kick-off 7.15pm).
Cardiff Blues face back-to-back home games as Munster and then Benetton Treviso arrive in the Welsh capital.
Former All Blacks ace Hoeata – who has played over 1,000 minutes of rugby this season – wants Cardiff Blues to defend the region’s proud home record – they have lost just once at home since November.
And the 33-year-old second row enforcer insists if they can click at home the team can still keep looking up the Guinness PRO12 table.
“The last home game and result against Ulster was massive,” he admitted. “It was good to get back to winning ways on home soil and that is something we have now got to try and keep going until the season is out.
“We look back at the narrow losses against Treviso and at home to Leinster and feel we should have won. We had the opportunities. But now it’s all about looking forward.
“It was always going to take time to gel this season,” he added. “But Danny has always spoken about the long-term project and no quick fix. We feel we are improving.
“Once you start winning it becomes a habit too; you get the belief and it goes from game to game. We have that belief at home and need to maintain it.”
