Director of Rugby Mark Hammett has vowed to make his players train with real intensity and build pressure as the new season looms large on the horizon.
Hammer has been with the Blues for just under two weeks after arriving in the Welsh capital and told his players not to expect too much immediate change as he looks to put his mark on the region.
However, he did reveal there would be a real step up in training as he looks for his Blues to perform under pressure.
"One of the things I want to do is train with real intensity and build some pressure around the way we play,” he said at the Guinness PRO12 launch in London.
"I like to get it done under pressure because when we start the PRO12 for sure, then you know it's going to happen and there is going to be pressure coming back at us so we have got to learn to deal with that."
"I’ve been at the region for eight or nine days now so I don't know if I'm settled, but I'm not doing two-hour trips to and from The Vale now, which is nice," he added.
"I'm getting to know most of the players and the names of the staff and there is a real keenness and a real desire to win. We have got the badge on and we are representing that it is done with passion.”
