Cardiff Blues have confirmed that back row forward Luke Hamilton will leave the region at the end of his contract to join French side Agen.
Flanker Hamilton, 22, has made a total of 36 appearances for Blues and scored three tries.
A former Coleg Sir Gar student, Hamilton came through the Scarlets Academy after playing for them at an Under-18 age grade level. Soon after his release from the west Wales region the youngster was invited to join the Blues Academy.
With club history at both Llandovery and Pembroke, Hamilton was picked by the Welsh international set up while playing for the Llanelli Premiership side and Glamorgan Wanderers.
Representing Wales at an Under-18 and Under-20 level, Hamilton was the starting choice at blindside during Wales’ five-match campaign at the 2012 Junior World Cup.
Hamilton made his Blues debut at flanker during the 2010/11 season against Exeter Chiefs in the LV=Cup campaign and has made ten appearances this season.
