Cardiff Blues under-18 have made seven changes for Sunday’s clash against RGC, with Mason Grady returning to the line-up after starring on Wales under-18’s recent tour to South Africa.
The side, who are led by head coaches Aled James and Craig Everett, kicked off their Regional Age Grade Championship campaign with an impressive bonus point victory over defending champions, Dragons.
They will welcome their North Wales counterparts to Pontypridd’s Sardis Road (KO 2.30pm), aiming to make it two from two and maintain their perfect start to the season. The first block of games will wrap up with a trip to Aberavon RFC to take on Ospreys.
Grady, who is a member of the Cardiff Blues academy, is one of four changes made to the backline, and replaces Theo Cabango on the wing.
A new centre partnership sees Cole Morgan link up with Gruff Naylor, with Immanuel Feyi-Waboso is ruled out and Ryan Wilkins named on the bench. Morgan is son of former Cardiff Blues and Wales wing, Craig Morgan.
The final change amongst the backs sees Edward Thomas stepping up from the bench to take his place at full back.
The only changes in the pack comes in the form of a new-look front row, with Ellis Fackrell, Corben Evans and Travis Green given the nod.
Evan Lloyd continues his role as captain, with last week’s try scorers Cai James and Iestyn Galton retaining their spots.
