Boss Phil Davies acknowledges the return of several senior stars will only benefit his young side as they go into the crucial final few months of the RaboDirect PRO12 season.
Davies has been delighted by the attitude and desire from his young Cardiff Blues side since the turn of the year.
But with seven key games to go - starting with Zebre this Saturday - the Director of Rugby knows experience could make the difference as Blues look for a big finish and to mount a charge up the table.
He said: “This week we have players like Gavin Evans and Dafydd Hewitt, who is pushing for a return from injury, in the mix for selection and that experience that can make a big difference to a young side.
“Cory Allen is getting nearer and the likes of Ta’fao Filise and Bradley Davies are getting nearer. Senior players are coming back into the mix and that will help our balance as we go into the final few months.
“We’ve got to concentrate on ourselves this weekend and get the win. We will encourage the players to play. We want them to express themselves and do that for 80 minutes.”
