Another Penarth player outside half Rhys Lakin son of former Cardiff player Bob also had an outstanding first game. Beddau no 8 Glen Slater had a storming game and must have put himself into the frame for the Wales Clubs side Blind side Andy Duggan was outstanding and last years Wales Clubs Captain Matthew Lewis gave his usual class performance.
Huw Lougher of Llantrisant RFC a seasoned performer with the Blues added a fifth try to make it a comfortable win. With 5 missed conversions and a missed penalty this could have been a huge win but Coaches Adam Rosser and Richard Erskine will be well pleased with this result by a team with so many new players
