Cardiff Blues are delighted to announce that Clare Williams will join the company in a full time post.
Clare, who is from Cardiff, first joined the company last summer and has completed a year’s internship with the company during the 2011/12 season.
Speaking of the appointment Clare said,
“The internship was a lot of work but good fun."
“It involved a lot of different aspects such as going to events, junior club promotions, social media, PR events and match day activities."
“It was a real shock to see how much work goes into making sure that the match day runs smoothly"
“I’ve learnt a hell of a lot in the last year."
“It was great to work in so many different aspects of the business that you may not normally see as a supporter. It’s been a really interesting twelve months."
“I’m absolutely delighted about to have been given this post."
“I’ll be working closely with the Communications and Marketing team to promote the Cardiff Blues and the good work that they are doing."
Clare studied Psychology at Plymouth University in Psychology before going on to study a Masters in Public Relations at the University of Glamorgan.
The former Corpus Christi and St David’s college pupil added,
“The Public Relations course gave me a good basis and really helped me in the last year, gaining an understanding of social media and how this can be used within organisations.”
“It was great to learn the theories and then getting the chance to put that into practice.”
