Cardiff Blues duo, Harri Millard and Cameron Lewis, have been called up to the Wales Sevens squad for the upcoming legs of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
Gareth Williams' side travel to Sydney and Hamilton over the next fortnight, looking to take positives from the opening rounds in Dubai and Cape Town.
Millard is set to make his World Series debut alongside Newport's Chay Smith.
Former Cardiff Blues squad members, Owen Jenkins, Adam Thomas and Ben Roach are also included in Williams' squad, as they build towards the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in April.
Head coach Williams said: "Harri and Chay have earnt their place through what they've done in training, which has been very competitive in this block.
"There are only four tournaments left before selection for the Games, and we have some boys still to come back in.
"We're having positive discussions with the regions too, so we will potentially have a big player pool to select from come mid-March."
Sydney Sevens takes place on 27-28 January, and will be aired live on Sky Sports.
