Cardiff Blues can confirm the company’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 31, at Cardiff Arms Park.
Shareholders are invited to attend the AGM, which will begin at 1pm, in the Sir Gareth Edwards Lounge of the Clubhouse, while a further Fans Forum is also being scheduled.
Cardiff Blues chief executive Richard Holland said: “As many will be aware Peter Thomas and Martyn Ryan kindly agreed to convert their loans into equity. However, for this to be completed there was a substantial amount of administration and agreements to be reached.
“We were unable to call the company’s AGM until these matters were concluded but an agreement between Peter Thomas, the company and Cardiff Athletic Club was reached on December 4.
“These matters had to be completed by the end of the calendar year and as per the Companies Act of 2006, we are obliged to give 21 days’ notice of our AGM. Therefore December 31, is the only day available to call the meeting.
“We appreciate the timing of the AGM is not ideal and as a result we will also hold an open meeting for all supporters next month where we will present our three-year business plan and vision for the future.
“We are very grateful for our shareholders’ patience and understanding on this matter, and we look forward to seeing shareholders and wider supporters in the weeks ahead.”
The Fans Forum at Cardiff Arms Park will take place in January, with both Alun Jones and Richard Holland available to meet supporters and present the Cardiff Blues Way. A date will be confirmed and circulated shortly.
