Captain Carl Lewis was among the try scorers as Cardiff Blues Under-18s kicked off the new season with a tightly fought 19-19 draw with Wasps at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Thursday afternoon.
Scrum half Lewis, Number Eight Aled Ward and replacement utility back Josh Rodgers scored tries and fly half Zac Byard slotted two conversions as Blues enjoyed an entertaining fixture with the English top-flight side.
Blues Under-18s are next in action against Leicester Tigers on Wednesday, August 13 (kick-off 2pm) before facing Munster on Friday, August 22 (kick-off 1pm).
